In a unexpected partnership that breaks usual forecasts, the game developer has revealed an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Revealed

According to the formal release, "An unusual confrontation draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a secret sect.

The mission concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses

The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Additional Features

Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to numerous objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Third Free Story Addition

This patch also adds the game's newest no-cost story episode, titled "The Mystery."
