Cars in German Town Found Marked with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Local Law Enforcement
Authorities reported they were notified by a individual who discovered a car in Hanau smeared with reddish liquid

Around 50 vehicles have been marked with what appears to be human blood in the German city of Hanau near Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.

Cars, building surfaces and mailboxes were vandalized, sometimes with swastikas, they stated in a statement.

Law enforcement say they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a resident noticed that a car in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a red-colored liquid.

The liquid had been placed in the pattern of a swastika, they stated.

Police then found numerous other vandalized vehicles and house walls in the nearby vicinity.

Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under laws outlawing the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.

Officials say initial examinations suggest the fluid was probably blood from a person.

"Currently there is no indication as to its origin; officials are not yet aware of any physical harm in relation with the event," they added.

City officials stated they were trying "to resolve the case" and have appealed to the residents for details.

An important representative commented the attack rendered him without words and required to be solved quickly.

"This incident hits the very heart of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the far-right attack in 2020," he posted on social media, mentioning the death of nine people by a shooter focusing on individuals of foreign heritage in 2020.
